Banzuke-gai! came about during a visit to Tokyo one year. Whilst visiting a good friend his enthusiasm for sumo and synchronised swimming led to the combination of the both in a series of drawings - Sumo Wrestlers Practising Synchronised Swimming! There are many synchronised swimming postions but for the drawings the most evocative were chosen. The side-fishtail position. The knight position. The eggbeater kick. The flamingo position. The crane position. And...the classic sumo wrestler position.

From amongst the drawings, a few select items were designed - T Shirts, T Towels and Tote Bags.
